Yuddha Kanda (Book of War)

Yuddha Kāṇḍa narrates the monumental war between Rāma’s forces and Rāvaṇa’s armies in Laṅkā. It begins with the vānaras constructing the mighty Rāma Setu across the ocean, followed by the march into Laṅkā. Epic battles unfold between warriors like Hanumān, Angada, Vibhīṣaṇa, Indrajit, Kumbhakarṇa, and many others. Rāma slays Rāvaṇa in a fierce duel, restoring cosmic order. Sītā is rescued, though she undergoes a trial by fire to demonstrate her purity before reuniting with Rāma. The kāṇḍa concludes with Rāma, Sītā, and Lakṣmaṇa returning to Ayodhyā, where Rāma is finally crowned king amidst celestial celebrations, marking the restoration of dharma and the beginning of Rāma-rājya.
