व्यासप्रसादाच्छ्रुतवानेतद्गुह्यमहं परम्
योगं योगेश्वरात्कृष्णात्साक्षात्कथयतः स्वयम्
vyāsaprasādāc chrutavān
etad guhyam ahaṃ param
yogaṃ yogeśvarāt kṛṣṇāt
sākṣāt kathayataḥ svayam

TRANSLATION
By the grace of Vyasa have I heard this supreme mystery of Yoga as declared in person by Krishna, the Lord of Yoga.
PURPORT
By the grace of Vyasa i.e., by the benefit of the divine sense of perception, granted by him, I have heard this supreme mystery called Yoga from Shri Krishna himself—Shri Krishna who is the treasure-house of knowledge, strength, sovereignty, valour, power and brilliance.
