सञ्जय उवाच
इत्यहं वासुदेवस्य पार्थस्य च महात्मनः
संवादमिममश्रौषमद्भुतं रोमहर्षणम्

sañjaya uvāca
ity ahaṃ vāsudevasya
pārthasya ca mahātmanaḥ
saṃvādam imam aśrauṣam
adbhutaṃ romaharṣaṇam

SYNONYMS

sañjayaḥ uvāca: Sañjaya said | iti: Thus | aham: have I | vāsudevasya: between Vasudeva | pārthasya: and Arjuna | ca: and | mahā-ātmanaḥ: the great-minded | saṃvādam: dialogue | imam: this | aśrauṣam: heard | adbhutam: wondrous | roma-harṣaṇam: which makes my hair stand on end |

TRANSLATION

Sañjaya said:
Thus have I heard this wondrous dialogue between Vasudeva and the great-minded Arjuna, which makes my hair stand on end.

PURPORT

Thus, in this way have I been hearing this wondrous and thrilling dialogue, as it took place between Vasudeva, the son of Vasudeva, and His paternal aunt’s son Arjuna, who is a Mahatman, one possessed of a great intelligence, and who has resorted to the feet of Shri Krishna.
