Śrī Viṣṇu Sahasranāma PURVANYĀSA VERSE 7
सशङ्ख चक्रं सकिरीट कुंडलं सपीत वस्त्रं सरसीरुहेक्षणम्
सहारवक्षः स्थल कौस्तुभ श्रियम् नमामि विष्णुं शिरसा चतुर्भुजम्
saśaṅkha cakraṃ sakirīṭa kuṃḍalaṃ sapīta vastraṃ sarasīruhekṣaṇam
sahāravakṣaḥ sthala kaustubha śriyam namāmi viṣṇuṃ śirasā caturbhujam
SYNONYMS
sa-śaṅkha-cakram: with conch and discus | sa-kirīṭa-kuṇḍalam: with crown and earrings | sa-pīta-vastram: with yellow garments | sarasīruha-īkṣaṇam: lotus-eyed | sa-hāra-vakṣaḥsthala-śobhi-kaustubham: with garland on His chest adorned by the Kaustubha gem | namāmi: I bow | viṣṇum: unto Viṣṇu | śirasā: with my head | catuḥ-bhujam: the four-armed one |
TRANSLATION
I bow before the God Vishnu, Who has four arms, Who has a conch and wheel in his hands, Who wears a crown and ear globes, Who wears yellow silks, Who has lotus like eyes, Who shines because of Kousthbha gem worn on his garlanded chest.
