Śrī Stuti VERSE 24

कल्याणानामविकलनिधिः काऽपि कारुण्यसीमा
नित्यामोदा निगमवचसां मौलि मन्दारमाला ।
सम्पद् दिव्या मधुविजयिनः सन्निधत्तां सदा मे
सैषा देवी सकल भुवन प्रार्थना कामधेनुः ॥ २४ ॥

kalyāṇānāmavikalanidhiḥ kāऽpi kāruṇyasīmā
nityāmodā nigamavacasāṃ mauli mandāramālā ।
sampad divyā madhuvijayinaḥ sannidhattāṃ sadā me
saiṣā devī sakala bhuvana prārthanā kāmadhenuḥ ॥ 24 ॥

SYNONYMS

kalyāṇānām avikala nidhiḥ: She is the eternal abode of all maṅgalams. These maṅgalams do not ever dry up. It is a perennial spring. | kāruṇya sīmā: She is the boundary of karuṇai (dayā/anukampā). | nityāmodā: for the forever fragrant | nigama vacasām mauli mandāra mālā: She is the mandāra garland on the crown of Veda vāks | madhuvijayinaḥ divyā sampat: She is the lofty wealth of the Lord, who is the destroyer of the asura, Madhu. | sakala bhuvana prārthanā kāmadhenuḥ: She is the boon-granting kāmadhenu responding to the pleas for anugraham from all the beings of the world. | kā api sā yeṣā devī sadā me sannidhattām: May this Pirāṭṭi of such celebrated vaibhavams reside always in my heart lotus! |

TRANSLATION

May Goddess Lakṣmī, the infinite source of all auspicious things, the ultimate abode of compassion, One who is glorified in the Vedas, the divine consort of Lord Viṣṇu, and the unique benefactor for all the worlds, always manifest before me!

PURPORT

The key passage of this ślokam is: “sā yeṣā devī sadā me sannidhattām” (May this vilakṣaṇa mūrti of such noble attributes reside in my heart lotus and thus appear before me always!).

Meaning according to Villivalam Sri Narayanachar Swamy: Śrī Devī is the undiminishing and eternal abode of all maṅgalams. She is treasure house of Compassion (kāruṇyam) and the boundary for the same. She is the mandāra mālā for the head of Vedās known for their eternal fragrance. She is the precious wealth of the Lord, who destroyed the asura with the name of Madhu. She is the wish-granting kāmadhenu responding to the prayers of the people of the world. May the Pirāṭṭi of such unique attributes be present inside me always!
