BG 12.18
समः शत्रौ च मित्रे च तथा मानापमानयोः
शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु समः सङ्गविवर्जितः
samaḥ śatrau ca mitre ca
tathā mānāpamānayoḥ
śītoṣṇasukhaduḥkheṣu
samaḥ saṅgavivarjitaḥ
SYNONYMS
samaḥ: He who is same | śatrau: to foe | ca 1: and | mitre: friend | ca 2: and | tathā: also | māna-apamānayoḥ: honour and dishonour | śīta-uṣṇa-sukha-duḥkheṣu: to both cold and heat, pleasure and pain | samaḥ 2: who is alike | saṅga-vivarjitaḥ: and who is free from all attachments |
TRANSLATION
He who is same to foe and friend, honour and dishonour, who is alike to both cold and heat, pleasure and pain, and who is free from all attachments;
