Śrī Viṣṇu Sahasranāma PHALASRUTI VERSE 13
न क्रोधो न च मात्सर्यं न लोभो नाशुभा मतिः
भवन्ति कृत पुण्यानां भक्तानां पुरुषोत्तमे
na krodho na ca mātsaryaṃ na lobho nāśubhā matiḥ
bhavanti kṛta puṇyānāṃ bhaktānāṃ puruṣottame
SYNONYMS
na krodhaḥ: no anger | na ca mātsaryam: and no envy | na lobhaḥ: no greed | na aśubhā matiḥ: no inauspicious thought | bhavanti: arise | kṛta-puṇyānām: for those who have performed meritorious deeds | bhaktānām: for the devotees | puruṣottame: of the Supreme Person (Puruṣottama) |
TRANSLATION
The devotee of the Lord Purushottama, has neither anger nor fear, nor avarice and nor bad thoughts.
