प्रमाणं प्राणनिलयः प्राणभृत् प्राणजीवनः
तत्त्वं तत्त्वविद् एकात्मा जन्म मृत्यु जरातिगः
pramāṇaṃ prāṇanilayaḥ prāṇabhṛt prāṇajīvanaḥ
tattvaṃ tattvavid ekātmā janma mṛtyu jarātigaḥ
TRANSLATION
959. Pramāṇam: One who is self-certifying, as He is Pure Consciousness.
960. Prāṇanilayaḥ: The home or dissolving ground of the Prāṇas.
961. Prāṇabhṛt: One who strengthens the Prāṇas as food (Anna).
962. Prāṇajīvanaḥ: He who keeps alive human beings with Vāyus (airs) known as Prāṇa, Apāna etc.
963. Tattvam: Means Brahman, just as words like Amṛta, Satya, Paramārtha, etc.
964. Tattvavid: One who knows His own true nature.
965. Ekātmā: One who is the sole being and the spirit (Ātmā) in all.
966. Janma-mṛtyu-jarātigaḥ: One who subsists without being subject to the six kinds of transformations – being born, existing temporarily, growing, transforming, decaying and dying.
