Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam SUPRABHĀTAM VERSE 8
उन्मील्य नेत्रयुगमुत्तमपञ्जरस्थाः
पात्रावशिष्टकदलीफलपायसानि ।
भुक्त्वा सलीलमथ केलिशुकाः पठन्ति
शेषाद्रिशेखरविभो तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ८ ॥
unmīlya netrayugamuttamapañjarasthāḥ
pātrāvaśiṣṭakadalīphalapāyasāni |
bhuktvā salīlamatha keliśukāḥ paṭhanti
śeṣādriśekharavibho tava suprabhātam || 8 ||
SYNONYMS
unmīlya netra-yugam: Having opened their pair of eyes | uttama-pañjara-sthāḥ: residing in excellent cages | pātra-avaśiṣṭa: remnants from the vessels | kadalī-phala-pāyasāni: banana fruits and sweet rice (pāyasam) | bhuktvā: having eaten | salīlam atha: playfully then | keli-śukāḥ: the playful parrots | paṭhanti: are reciting (Your names/praises) | śeṣādri-śekhara-vibho: O Lord, the crest-jewel of Śeṣādri hill | tava suprabhātam: may this be an auspicious dawn to You |
TRANSLATION
Oh Lord of the peak of Śeṣādri hill! In Your temple, the parrots inside the high cages are singing your sahasranāmas to gladden the hearts of Your Bhaktas after partaking your banana and pāyasam prasādhams from the previous night. Please awaken and May this be an auspicious dawn for You!
