Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam
The Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam is a cherished Sanskrit hymn, traditionally sung at dawn to awaken Lord Veṅkaṭeśa (Viṣṇu) at the sacred Tirumala-Tirupati temple. Composed by the poet-saint Prativādi Bhayaṅkara Śrī Annan, a devoted disciple of Śrī Rāmānujācārya, it forms the first of four sections in a larger composition. The Suprabhātam’s 29 gentle verses lovingly invite the Lord, His divine consort Lakṣmī, and the celestial attendants to rise and bless the world. For centuries, devotees have recited these verses to greet the day with devotion, believing that the hymn brings divine grace, peace, and spiritual joy.

TRANSLATION
Wherever the Upaniṣads use the word “Para Brahman", they have in mind Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, who stands on top of the Tiruvenkaṭam hills as Śrīnivāsa. There is nothing that He cannot attain, when He desires it. He is all powerful. There is no one in any world, who can disobey His command without incurring His wrath. No atom vibrates in this Universe without His empowerment. Let all auspiciousness befall Lord Veṅkaṭeśa of Tirumala-Tirupati hills!

Lord Veṅkaṭeśa is celebrated for the divine beauty of His arcā vigraham worshipped at Tirumala. He is also revered for His attributes as well as His Ātma svarūpam or Para Brahmam aspects. There has never been any one in the past or present, who have been satiated from looking at the matchless physical beauty or thinking about His incomparable ananta kalyāṇa guṇas. In future also, it is unlikely that we would meet any one, who will fully understand the Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa tattvam or Svarūpam. Let all Maṅgalas accumulate and reach the divine feet of Lord Veṅkaṭeśa!

Lord Veṅkaṭeśa! Your right hand has a varada mudrā (gesture). That gesture points to the direction of your divine feet. It appears that this mudrā reveals your secret that your holy feet are the sole means for deliverance from the ills of saṃsāra through the act of surrender (Śaraṇāgati) unto them. Let all Maṅgalas come your way as the revealer of Śaraṇāgati rahasyam out of your infinite mercy through this mudrā!

Śrīman Nārāyaṇa got tired of His abode in Śrī Vaikuṇṭham and abandoned it in favor of a new residence on the banks of Svāmi Puṣkariṇī at Tirumala. There, He has incarnated as Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa and protects forever His dear devotees; there, He also sports with Śrī Mahā Lakṣmī and has given her a preferred seat of residence on His chest and thereby acquired the name of Śrīnivāsa. Let all Maṅgalas befall Śrīnivāsa of Svāmi Puṣkariṇī!
