Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam SUPRABHĀTAM VERSE 27

ब्रह्मादयस्सुरवरास्समहर्षयस्ते
सन्तस्सनन्दनमुखास्त्वथ योगिवर्याः ।
धामान्तिके तव हि मङ्गलवस्तुहस्ताः
श्रीवेङ्कटाचलपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ २७ ॥

brahmādayassuravarāssamaharṣayaste
santassanandanamukhāstvatha yogivaryāḥ |
dhāmāntike tava hi maṅgalavastuhastāḥ
śrīveṅkaṭācalapate tava suprabhātam || 27 ||

SYNONYMS

brahmā-ādayaḥ sura-varāḥ: Brahmā and other best of gods | sa-maharṣayaḥ te: they along with the great sages | santaḥ sanandana-mukhāḥ tu atha: and then the saints headed by Sanandana | yogi-varyāḥ: the best of yogis | dhāma-antike tava hi: indeed near Your abode | maṅgala-vastu-hastāḥ: with auspicious items in their hands | śrī veṅkaṭācalapate: O Lord of Śrī Veṅkaṭācala | tava suprabhātam: may this be an auspicious dawn to You |

TRANSLATION

Oh Lord of Tirumala! The great Ones like Brahmā, honored Maharṣis and Mahā Yogis like Sanandana are waiting at your forecourt with auspicious items like Mirror et al in their hands for Your Suprabhāta Kaimkaryam. Please awaken! May this dawn be an auspicious one for Thee!

PURPORT

This śloka is a direct echo of the passages from the eighth pāśuram of Thoṇḍaraḍippoḍi Āḻvār's Tiruppaḷḷiyeḻucci Māniti Kapilaiyōṇṇa Kaṇṇāḍi mutalā, Emperumāṉ paḍikkamalam Kāṇḍaṟku Ērpaṉavāyiṉa koṇḍu naṉ muṉivar Tumparu Nāratar pukantaṉar ivarō
