Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam SUPRABHĀTAM VERSE 26

भास्वानुदेति विकचानि सरोरुहाणि
सम्पूरयन्ति निनदैः ककुभो विहङ्गाः ।
श्रीवैष्णवास्सततमऋथितमङ्गलास्ते
धामाश्रयन्ति तव वेङ्कट सुप्रभातम् ॥ २६ ॥

bhāsvānudeti vikacāni saroruhāṇi
sampūrayanti ninadaiḥ kakubho vihaṅgāḥ |
śrīvaiṣṇavāssatatamaṛthitamaṅgalāste
dhāmāśrayanti tava veṅkaṭa suprabhātam || 26 ||

SYNONYMS

bhāsvān udeti: The Sun is rising | vikacāni saroruhāṇi: the lotuses are blooming | sampūrayanti ninadaiḥ: are filling with their sounds | kakubhaḥ vihaṅgāḥ: the directions, the birds | śrī vaiṣṇavāḥ: The Śrī Vaiṣṇavas | satatam arthita-maṅgalāḥ te: those who always desire auspiciousness for You | dhāma āśrayanti: are taking refuge at Your abode | tava veṅkaṭa suprabhātam: O Veṅkaṭa, may this be an auspicious dawn to You |

TRANSLATION

Oh Lord Of Veṅkaṭam! The Sun has risen. The Lotuses have bloomed. The birds are chirping about and raising a lot of noises. The Śrī Vaiṣṇava ghoṣṭi that always seek auspiciousness for You through their maṅgalāśāsanams are patiently waiting at Your sannidhi for You to awake from Your sleep. It is not fair for you to continue with your sleep befitting your role as Bhakta Sulabhan and Nātha-Satyan. Please wake up. May this dawn be an auspicious one for Thee!

PURPORT

The movements of birds and the blossoming of the Lotus in the early morning time (soon after Sunrise) are described by Āṇḍāl in Her Tiruppāvai Pāśurams Puḷḷum cilampiṉa kāṇ, Kīcu kīceṉṛeṅkum āṉaiccāttāṉ , Uṅkaḷ puḻakkaḍai tōṭṭattu vāviyuḷ, ceṅkaḻunīr Vāi nekiḻntu Thoṇḍaraḍippoḍi Āḻvār's Tiruppaḷḷiyeḻucci Pāśurams also seem to have inspired Śrī Aṇṇā in constructing this śloka.
