TRANSLATION

Oh TiruVeṅkaṭanāthā! When you go around the rāja Veedhis of Your divya deśam, you move around in Garuḍa gati (gait), Siṃha gati, Sarpa Gati, Gaja gati or Aśva gati. Garuḍa, Siṃha, Ādi Śeṣa, Airāvatam (Indra's white elephant) and Uccaiḥśravas (Indra's white horse) recognize that they have a lot to learn from You, their Lord, with respect to perfection of their gaits; they are standing outside your sannidhi at this time of dawn to seek Your blessings for clues on the perfection of their gaits to serve You better. Please arise and fulfill their wishes. May it be an auspicious dawn to Thee!

PURPORT

The word "dhāṭīṣu” has also been interpreted as Yuddha-Yātrai (military expedition) instead of travel around the rāja Veedhis during the utsavams. According to this interpretation, Garuḍa and others are said to seek a larger share in the kaimkaryam to the Lord as He sets out for His yuddham with asurās to protect His bhaktās.
