Śrī Rāma Rakṣā Stotram VERSE 7

कौसल्येयो दृशौ पातु ।
विश्वामित्र प्रियः श्रुती ।
घ्राणं पातु मखत्राता ।
मुखं सौमित्रिवत्सलः ॥

kausalyeyo dṛśau pātu |
viśvāmitra priyaḥ śrutī |
ghrāṇaṃ pātu makhatrātā |
mukhaṃ saumitrivatsalaḥ ||

SYNONYMS

dṛśau: eyes | priyaḥ: dear | śrutī: ears | ghrāṇaṃ: nose | makhatrātā: protector of Yagnas | mukhaṃ: face | saumitri: Lakshmana, son of Sumithra | vatsalaḥ: affectionate |

TRANSLATION

Let Rāma, son of Kousalya protect my eyes. Let Rāma, the one who is dear to Viswamithra protect my ears. Let Rāma, the protector of sacrifices/Yagnams protect my nose. Let Rāma, the one who is dear to Lakshmana protect my face.
