From the epic Mahābhārata, the Śrī Viṣṇu Sahasranāma Stotram features one thousand sacred names of Lord Viṣṇu, revealed by the venerable Bhīṣma to Yudhiṣṭhira on the battlefield of Kurukṣetra while lying on his bed of arrows. This revered hymn establishes Lord Viṣṇu's supreme nature as the ultimate reality. Chanting these names with devotion is believed to remove obstacles, alleviate suffering and diseases, grant peace, prosperity, good health, and ultimately lead the devotee towards liberation (mokṣa) from the cycle of birth and death.
