Śrī Viṣṇu Sahasranāma DHYĀNAM VERSE 6
यस्य स्मरणमात्रेण जन्मसंसारबन्धनात्
विमुच्यते नमस्तस्मै विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे
ॐ नमो विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे
yasya smaraṇamātreṇa janmasaṃsārabandhanāt
vimucyate namastasmai viṣṇave prabhaviṣṇave
oṃ namo viṣṇave prabhaviṣṇave
SYNONYMS
yasya: whose | smaraṇa-mātreṇa: by mere remembrance | janma-saṃsāra-bandhanāt: from the bondage of birth and the cycle of existence | vimucyate: one is liberated | namaḥ: obeisances | tasmai: unto Him | viṣṇave: unto Viṣṇu | prabhaviṣṇave: unto the all-powerful one |
TRANSLATION
Obeisance to that Vishnu, the all-powerful Vishnu, whose remembrance alone frees one from the bondage of birth and death.
