Śrī Veṅkaṭeśa Suprabhātam SUPRABHĀTAM VERSE 5
अत्र्यादिसप्तऋषयस्समुपास्य सन्ध्यां
आकाशसिन्धुकमलानि मनोहराणि ।
आदाय पादयुगमर्चयितुं प्रपन्नाः
शेषाद्रिशेखरविभो तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ५ ॥
atryādisaptaṛṣayassamupāsya sandhyāṃ
ākāśasindhukamalāni manoharāṇi |
ādāya pādayugamarcayituṃ prapannāḥ
śeṣādriśekharavibho tava suprabhātam || 5 ||
SYNONYMS
atri-ādi-sapta-ṛṣayaḥ: The seven sages headed by Atri | samupāsya sandhyām: having performed their morning worship (sandhyā) | ākāśa-sindhu-kamalāni: lotuses from the celestial Gaṅgā (Ākāśa Gaṅgā) | manoharāṇi: beautiful, captivating | ādāya: having taken | pāda-yugam: Your pair of feet | arcayitum: to worship | prapannāḥ: have arrived, have surrendered | śeṣādri-śekhara-vibho: O Lord, the crest-jewel of Śeṣādri hill | tava suprabhātam: may this be an auspicious dawn to You |
TRANSLATION
Oh Lord standing on the top of Śeṣādri hill! The group of seven ṛṣis headed by Atri has completed their sandhyā worship and has arrived to take part in your suprabhāta sevā and abhigamana (morning) ārādhanam. They have brought freshly blossomed lotus flowers from the Ākāśa Gaṅgā. May it be an auspicious dawn to You!
