BG 5.11

कायेन मनसा बुद्ध्या केवलैरिन्द्रियैरपि
योगिनः कर्म कुर्वन्ति सङ्गं त्यक्त्वात्मशुद्धये

kāyena manasā buddhyā
kevalair indriyair api
yoginaḥ karma kurvanti
saṅgaṃ tyaktvātmaśuddhaye

SYNONYMS

kāyena: with the body | manasā: the mind | buddhayā: the intellect | kevalairindriyairapi: and merely with the senses | yoginaḥ: Yogins | karma: actions | kurvanti: do | saṅgaṃ: attachment | tyaktvātmaśuddhaye: renouncing, for the purification of the self |

TRANSLATION

Merely with the body, the mind, the intellect and the senses, Yogins do actions, renouncing attachment, for the purification of the self.

PURPORT

Renouncing attachment to heaven etc., the Yogins perform actions accomplishable by the body, the mind and the intellect for the purification of themselves, i.e., for annulling the bonds of his previous Karma which have affected the self and which involve the self in Samsara.
